Join us at Ventura TRAVEL – a group of specialized travel brands that unleash the adventurer in every person! As our new Operations Manager for Africa and Asia, you and your team will play an integral role in our mission: to create and support successful travel brands that change the world for the better.

You will be chiefly responsible for ensuring a smooth travel experience for our customers in the destinations served by our travel brands Africaventura, Asiaventura, and Japaventura. We are looking for a long-term thinker who will lead a growing team of five (5) talented individuals behind the complex logistics of trips that create memorable moments for our guests. 

You will report directly to Gaby, our Director of Operations, and often liaise with Erick, our COO. Your team is spread across different offices internationally, and your working language will be English.

On daily basis, you will

  • Ensure that we are constantly on track for meeting our weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs for the operations of our travel brands Africaventura, Asiaventura, and Japaventura. 
  • Hire and develop the best: recruit and coach excellent operations specialists that outperform the competition, with the goal of expanding the team's size over the next 2–3 years.
  • Manage and develop relations with a network of exceptional service providers to guarantee high quality standards and competitive provider prices for our growing portfolio of trips in Africa and Asia.
  • Jointly and in close coordination with our travel brands, look for ways to improve the quality of their travel routes and services.
  • Constantly optimize and take advantage of technology to scale the productivity of our operations. 
  • Develop and manage our annual operations budget for your destinations.

The basics you bring along 

  • You have at least 5+ years of experience in operations.
  • A track record of inspiring a team to excel in its performance.
  • Organized and a great problem-solver, especially during high season and emergencies. 
  • You are tech-savvy, comfortable with, and curious about new technologies.
  • Prior experience working in Japan, South East Asia, and/or Africa.
  • You are fun to be around—your colleagues will enjoy working with you! 
  • Fully fluent in English.

You can impress us even more

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in another language from the destinations we serve.
  • Prior operational experience in the tourism industry.
  • Prior managerial experience in a similar position.
